Bo has matured into a wonderful dog, an awesome hunting partner, great family pet and all around image of what a Labrador Retriever should be. We celebrated his fifth Birthday the other day. It's hard to believe how quick the time has gone, seems like yesterday we were working on puppy retrieves with a clumsy, feet to big pup.
Bo is a great partner, either hunting or training he has a great personality. He hunts and trains equally hard. He takes a great line and has awesome marking ability. He is a real family dog, finding whichever bed feels best on any given night, and waking everyone up in the morning. He is calm and gentle in the house and pure desire in the blind or swamp, it's hard to imagine a more perfect dog.

At the spring Tidewater Retriever Club Hunt Test I met Bo's Dad "Tidewater's Kodiak Express MH". I've looked for him at test for the last two years and found him right here at home. Above is a picture of father and son. Now at the fall hunt test, they both titled on the same day with Kodi acheiving his MH and Bo completing his SH. He is the reason I purchased Bo. As you can see he's a beautiful dog and they make a great looking pair.

"2007 TEST SCHEDULE and BRAGS"
Bo, my hunting buddy David Collins, and I traveled to Washington state for a week of Duck hunting in January, what a week it was. The plane rides were luckily uneventful, the weather cooperated, if you call 40 mile an hour winds and torrential rains cooperative and the birds were there. Bo loved hunting in the flooded fields, picking up daily limits of Pintail, Teal. Widgeons and Mallards. The highlight of the trip was watching Bo perform a blind retriever on a crippled Widgeon at about 400 yards acrossed a flooded field and an island. We're planning on a return trip in January 2008.
After we returned from Washington Bo and I began guiding hunting parties at a local Plantation, even though the local weather was not what we like to see in the latter stages of the season we managed to stay in some birds.

Bo, my hunting buddy David Collins, and I traveled back to Washington state for a week of Duck hunting in January, we had another great week of shooting ducks, geese and enjoying the scenery , the weather was not as good as in 2007 but good enough. We managed plenty of birds but had to work a little harder for them. Bo did retrieve a drake Pintail out of Pugent Sound, not many Chocolate labs from Virginia can say they've done that! We're already dreaming about 2009
We guided full time at the plantation again this year. Thru the course of the season we picked up plenty of birds and had a ton of fun. Bo's retrieve total exceeded 450 birds this year,
our best season yet.
